Reading Week in New York

After tackling New Yorks’ finest museums and galleries yesterday, we decided to spend our third day more casually, doing what we do best: shopping.

Our first stop was the Chelsea Market, situated at 9th avenue and 16th street. This Manhatten gem is filled with independent jewellery and clothing designers, artists, and best of all, food vendors, all tucked away in a beautiful industrial building where the first Oreo cookie was invented. Kinda neat.

We managed to score a few gifts for our families from a lovely tea and spices vendor. Sam H happened to pick up fresh vanilla, rosebuds, and green and jasmine tea for a mere $20.

We managed to make our way through the market without succumbing to the temptations along the way, but we finally had to give up. We stopped at an Italian eatery to grab a slice of Margherita pizza, and a delicious ricotta canoli.

And why stop there? We couldn’t bring ourselves to walk by the mini pie shop without taking a peak. Tuck Shop is an australian eatery that offers an assortment of delicious pies, kale salads, and homemade sodas; it also offers vegetarian and vegan options.

  1. This isn't a fashion post at all. Please re-do your post to get any marks for this. This is a fashion photography course.

    Looks like fun though! Jealous.
